​Studio 1

This studio course introduces the graphic design process from concept, visualization, documentation, to professional presentation. With an emphasis on visual communication strategies, the course focused on fundamental text and image interaction. The deliverable included graphic identity design.

Research

​My goal with this project was to see how I could make people aware that the brand does not test on animals and it is environmentally friendly.

​Sketch

Research revealed that LUSH is an environmentally friendly brand that recycles, does not test on animals, and creates organic, handmade products, so I sketched the earth and hands. I also sketched a graphic of a bath because LUSH's bath bombs are popular.

​Digital Development

After sketching, I used Illustrator to digitize the sketches I liked. I wanted to keep the image environmentally friendly, so I created graphics of the earth and hands.

​Final Logo

I used earth colors to emphasize the importance of an environmentally friendly image. Since only greenish colors were used, I paid attention to contrasts and made the word LUSH stand out.
